Banding wheels are used to hold your piece while it is being
decorated. The less you handle the piece the better, as handling
can causes stresses in the clay and smear your designs. For basic
glazing, a CSI turntable is perfectly up to the job. The other
banding wheels on this page are heavier, and are more desirable if you
need the piece to turn smoothly, for example to draw perfectly straight
lines (bands) around the pot.

11.75" diameter banding wheel from China. Heavy steel base,
non-slip rubber bottom, nice bearing. A good value. (But please
don't expect it to be as nice as the Laguna and Shimpo banding
