| Thermocouples are non-returnable.
Please make sure you are buying the right one. While Type-K
thermocouples are all the same electrically, the kiln manufacturers use
different styles, lengths, diameters, and also add mounting hardware for particular
applications. Therefore,
thermocouples are not plug-in compatible / interchangeable with
one-another. It's important you purchase the correct one for your
brand/model of kiln.

Skutt

For use in kiln mounted, KilnMaster controllers. (Best
replacement for all Skutt kiln-mounted controllers. If you
currently have a sheathed thermocouple, this is your most
reliable replacement. However, it may require slight kiln
modification, drilling of skin and kiln brick, to install.) |

For use in kiln mounted, KilnMaster/ GlassMaster controllers. (Same-part
replacement for Skutt kiln-mounted controllers with sheathed
thermocouples purchased prior to Feb 2004 . If you
currently have a sheathed thermocouple, this is the most
direct replacement. No kiln modification required.
However, these thermocouples are considered unreliable
when fired above 1800F. Purchase for use low-fire
use only. |
