Alberta slip is an excellent slip for creating dark colors.
At 100%, it produces a chocolate brown glossy glaze with a temoku reduction when heated to cone 10.
Alberta Slip generates a significant amount of gases as it melts, that has been known to bubble and heave.
This problem can be averted by adding a boron frit and firing at slowly enough to heat evenly.
