Amaco Sunstrokes Brilliant Underglaze SS206 Clover Green

Sunstrokes underglazes have a gloss finish even when fired without the clear glaze. Therefore if they are applied on the bottom of the piece, they must be stilted when fired or they will stick to the kiln shelf. Clear glaze smoothes out and brightens the colors.

Apply two or three even coats to bisque. Clear glaze smoothes out and brightens the colors. When using a clear glaze, it must be applied over the decorated object before firing the underglaze. Amaco LG10 or F10 can be applied over Sunstrokes for one stoke application and all-over coverage. Apply one even coat on a mature Cone 04 bisque. Fire to Cone 06-05.

These underglazes are now AP Non-Toxic.  They are dinnerware safe when covered by a glaze such as LG10, F10 and HF9.

* If left unglazed they should not be used for dinnerware.
