Amaco Velvet Underglazes V303 Terra Cotta

Velvets tolerate a wide firing range, and can be used on most temperatures and clay bodies. Some colors may fade at high temperatures (cone 7 and up). All are Lead free, non-toxic in liquid form and have been tested and approved for dinnerware when covered by LG10 clear glaze.

Glazes with Zinc can cause discoloration of underglazes; therefore, use of Zinc-free covering glazes is recommended. V303 Terra Cotta will fade away when glazed over. Substitute with V366 to use a glaze covering.
