Laguna Cornwall Stone

Cornwall Stone, also known as English Cornish stone, and China stone, is an alkaline flux containing calcium and potassium.

It is used in clay bodies to give strength while firing, and in engobes because of its adhesive properties.

Cornwall Stone can also be used as a glaze with the addition of a suitable flux.

Once only mined from granite rock in the Cornwall Stone Mine in the UK, this material is now produced synthetically.
