Laguna Lithium Carbonate, Fine

Lithium carbonate is the best source of lithium oxide for glazes.

It causes glazes to melt at high temperatures.

It reduces thermal expansion, which increases the glaze's firing range and lowers the chance of cracking.

In addition, it increases the brightness and durability of glazes, and produces glossy surfaces.

It is typically used in small amounts, i.e., 5% or less.
