Skutt KS-609 Ceramic Kiln with Manual KilnSitter Controller

The Skutt KS609 electric kiln fires to 2,250°F on 120 volts, and is ideal for beginners, apartment dwellers, and those testing glazes, porcelain and clay bodies.

The KS609 is equipped with a KilnSitter, a mechanical control that fires your kiln by the time and temperature method of heat treatment using pyrometric cones or bars. After being exposed to the proper time and temperature (heatwork), the cone or bar softens and bends to a predetermined angle, shutting off the kiln. Also included is a limit timer.
