The Skutt KS1027 electric kiln features a 2.5" firebrick and is great for firing porcelain or stoneware.
The 10-sided KS1027 is equipped with a KilnSitter, a mechanical control that fires your kiln by the time and temperature method of heat treatment using pyrometric cones or bars. After being exposed to the proper time and temperature (heatwork), the cone or bar softens and bends to a predetermined angle, shutting off the kiln. Also included is a limit timer.
