This is the same replacement part for Skutt kiln-mounted controllers with sheathed thermocouples purchased prior to Feb 2004. If you currently have a  sheathed thermocouple, this is the most direct replacement.  No kiln modification required.  However, these thermocouples are considered unreliable when fired above 1800F.  Purchase for use low-fire use only.
